APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
must be filled in by typewriter OR ink and submitted to the buildit
inspector with the following: for new building or new use:
i. Final survey of.property with accurate location of ali buildings, property line~
streets, and unusual natural or topographic features.
2. Final Approval from Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage~disposal(S-9 form)
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Sworn statement from plumber certifying that the solder used in system contains
less than 2/10 of 1% lead.
5. Commercial building, industrial building, multiple residences and similar build~
and installations, a certificate of Code Compliance from architect or engineer
responsible for the building.
6. Submit Planning Board Approval of completed site plan requirements.
For existing buildings (prior to April 9, 1957) non-conforming uses, or buildings a

I have inspected the property now or formerly owned
by Blanche T. Dickerson on Mill Road Peconic, N.Y. designated
on the Suffolk County Tax Map as'No. 1000-067-05-02 and
make the following comments~~
One story cottage at waters edge. The existing
supporting structure of locust posts and cement block
piers is in disarray and may not withstand the forces
of a large storm or hurricane. The cottage itself needs
many repairs to be usable.
The whole lot is in the flood plain with a designation
of A 10 (Elev 11). This means that the cottage would have
to be raised, presumably to about 4'. The cottage is so
close to the property line that a building permit might
reqnire the building to be moved away from the line. A
Dermit from the Southold Town Trustees is required because
of the proximity of Goldsmith Inlet. Their jurisdiction
is now 100' from the waters edge.
At present the cottage is more of a liability than
as asset to the property.
The one story wood frame residence close to the road
It was noted that there is a large crack in the cinder
block wall Un the basement in the middle of the north wall.
This crack can not be seen from the outside of the structure,
as there is a concrete wall running perpendicular at the area
of the crack. This concrete wall is a return for the retaining
wall supporting sidewalk entrance to the first floor of the
house. This wall extends the full vertical length of the crack.
This crack does not effect the structural integrity of the
house, nor will it cause drainage or rodent problems.
