The meeting started at 7:30 p.m. Present were: Cliff Benfield, Toni Boyd, Ralph Williams, Bob Kassner, John Stack and Bob Bayley. 2. A motion was made by Ralph Williams and seconded by Bob Kassner to approve the Minutes of September 19, 1995. 3. The next meeting of the commission is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, 1995 at 7:30 p.m. 4. Landmark mold status - Cliff said that the commission would be receiving the mold soon. He also brought Bob Bayley up to date regarding the mold. 5. Follow-up: _ a. Brecknock Hall - Valerie Marvin was to contact the owners. b. Cutchogue Diner - Mr. Toohey, the owner, has not returned the application. c. Lupton Benedict House - Bob Kassner will check the S.P.L. I .A. ' file. d. Plum' Island 'Light, - Cliff spoke to Dr. House, who said that Dr. Moon, , who heads the installation. wants to think about the restoration for a few weeks before making a decision. 4c ` .r -2- 6. Directory - still in progress. 7. Thelma York Aansted House, Orchard St. , Orient - The Town Board asked the commission to inspect this house. It is scheduled for demolition, as it is an unsafe building. The commission did inspect the building. Toni Boyd did an excellent drawing of the house and took many pictures. Cliff will speak to Town Attorney re: status of building and also see if Ray Jacobs could clear around the house so that pictures could be taken of the outside, before the house is demolished. The history of the house will be documented by the commission. Complete restoration is impossible. 8. Valerie Scopaz's application - This house is in the S.P.L. I .A. file. The commission will make arrangements to look at the house. It is on the Main Road in Southold. Bob Kassner will check with Valerie to see if it is okay, for the commission to see the house on Thursday, November 2, 1995 at 10 a.m. 9. Mrs. Simon's request - her house in on the northeast corner of Main Bayview Road and Waterview Drive in Southold. Cliff will contact her and see if the commission could look at the house on Friday morning, October 27, 1995 at 10 a.m. 10. Budget - Nothing has been heard on budget. Certain supplies will be purchased such as: photographic film, video tapes, plastic for the mold, flashlights, batteries, and a measuring tape. 11 . Octagon House - is finished now.
