Box 1179 (516) 765-1801 ® Southold, New York 11971 RECMD SOUTHOLD TOWN MAR 181994 LANDMARK PRESERVATION COMMISSION ToWn Clerk ROUthold Landmark Minutes March 17, 1994 1. The meeting started at 7:30. Members present were: Bill Peters, Ralph Williams, Valerie Mar- vin, Bob Bayley and John Stack. Harry Fagan and Bob Kassner were absent. 2. The Feb. 17 minutes were reviewed and accepted. 3. Supervisor Wickham was a visitor at the meeting. We were pleased to have his input and inter- est. Arrangements were started for our participation in the May TV program. We will receive fur- ther instructions and prepare some dialog. Ralph,Valerie and John will participate. Supervisor Wickham filled us in on the project being started by Gail Mariner Smith. The commis- sion offered to be available for information regarding our historic houses . John Stack will be the contact for Ms. Smith. 4. Our concern about file space was discussed with the supervisor and he suggested we let the Town Clerk know of our needs. Bob Kassner has been assigned to this problem and will try to solve our space needs with Mrs. Terry. 5. Ralph Williams filled us in on his return trip to Winterthur Museum, in Delaware. May 3, is the new appointment date with Charles F. Hummel the author of With Hammer in Hand. 6. The list of all possible agenda items for the year was discussed. Leaders were assigned to each task and some helpers also. A copy of the Task List is attached to these minutes. 7. Bob Bayley will send a typed draft of the McIntosh and Seidman reviews to John for editorial comment. Then'arrangements for final typing will be made. 8. This was Bill peter's last meeting as a commission member. He will be sorely missed. Bill's was a long tenure and he contributed greatly with his good cheer and great knowledge. Thanks Bill, don't be a stranger. Harry Fagan is also leaving the commission. We thank him also for all his work and wish him long life and happiness in Florida. 8. The next meeting is scheduled for April 21.
