Valerie Marvin, Bob Bayley Bob Kassner and John Stack. Our new members were welcomed.
The change in the meeting date was a cause of confusion, but a meeting of all members was made
possible. I apologize for the-,-confusion.
2. The April 28th minutes were reviewed and accepted.
3. The task list was discussed assignments#1, 93, #7 and#8 are completed. John Page will replace
Valerie on the publicity task and Cliff is added to the operating procedures task.
4. The presentations for the Town Board meeting on May 31 st was discussed. The following for-
mat was suggested:
A. Introduction by Supervisor Wickham re the Landmark Register and Bob Bayley who
will read the house descriptions.
B. The designee will be asked to come forward and receive the designation certificate
from the Supervisor.
C. After both certificates have been awarded, the Preservation Awards-will be made.
John Stack will read the award material and invite the owners or their representi-
tives to come forward to receive the certificate from the Supervisor.
5. Ralph reported on his visit to Winterthur and his meeting with Mr. Hummel. He brought the
book With Hammer In Hand to the meeting to illustrate the clocks and chairs made by the
Dominy's. Mr. Hummel is planning to visit the Terry Mulford House this summer.
6. Our next meeting will be held June 21 at 7.30 PM.
7. The recent TV program was critiqued in an effort tofind the things we thought worked, those
that didn't and what would improve any future efforts. All felt the experience to be a good one.
Several ideas developed for other ways to spread the word on preservation for Southold Town.
Respectfully submitted,
John A. Stack, Chairman
