RECEIVED
199 SOUTHOLD TOWN
SEP J LANDMARK PRESERVATION COMMISSION
Southold Town Clerk Landmark Minutes
September 28, 1994
1. The meeting started at 7:30. All members were present.
2. The August minutes were reviewed and accepted.
3. The budget proposal was discussed. The upcoming budget restrictions were pointed out. All
were made aware of the problems facing the town.
4. We discussed the makeup of a brochure to tell about Southold and what the Landmark Com-
mission is and does. The format that was worked out at our work session was reviewed. The
maps for the center fold were provided by Bob Kassner. Some of the line drawings from The
Houses of Southold were reduced and pasted on the mock-up. This seems like a feasible way to
reduce costs. Bob Kassner will work with these drawings and map.
Possible titles were discussed. The one that seems to be presently favored is Southold
Town -Homes of History. Ralph and John are to work on a short town history.
Ralph has found a man to help with design and mock-up production. Mogen Thomson, a
retired Newsday compositor, has a new desk top publishing computer and has offered his ser-
vices.
5. .The schedule for the remainder of the year is as follows:
October 4th Wednesday 26th
November 5th Wed 30th
December 4th Wed 28th
8. Our next meeting will be held Wednesday Oct, 26th at 7:30 PM.
Respectfully submitted
