MINUTES Present were: John Greene, John Stack, Mary Jablonski, Peg Murphy and Herb Adler. House Visits - Kathleen Wolf, 450 Youngs Ave. , Southold - arrangements will be made to visit her home. Carriage House - Joan & Milton Carney, 340 Breakwaters Rd. , Mattituck. John greene will contact the Carneys for a visit for either Sunday, April 1st or Saturday, April 7th. Kathleen Sorrell, representing the people on Oregon Road, would like to do documentation of the properties on Oregon Road. They would also like to file for National Register. New York Preservation League Application - John Greene will ask for matching funds for an intensive level survey for a potential historic district. Mary Jablonski spoke to the Commission about a building structure inventory. The Commission would have to designate what information they want to be included. A criteria would be set up for each district. The members of the Commission were given a copy of the draft of the Historic Preservation' Law for the Town of Southold to peruse. 0 -2- There are 150-160 buildings in the Orient District. Mary Jablonski..-said it would probably take 2 to 3 months to do a building structure inventory. The members felt that it probably would be important to start in Orient. A motion was made by Herb Adler and seconded by John stack to apply for matching funds to do a survey this year for Orient and go to the Town Board and tell them that we would like to use some of the money in the budget for this survey and to put it out to bid for at least three consultants. All were in favor. John Greene asked Mary to get an approximate budget for 200 buildings. Mary asked that the Commission give her the criteria they want. The next meeting of the Land_ mark Preservation Commission is scheduled for Monday, April 9, 2001 at 9:30 a.m. With no further business to be conducted, the meeting was adjourned at 5:30 p.m. Rspe ctfully submitted,, �'�-- oyce M.
