LANDMARK PRESERVATION COMMISSION MEETING
SEPTEMBER 17, 1996 "
MINUTES
Present were: Cliff Benfield, John Stack, Ralph Williams, Bob Kassner
and Deborah Winsor
1 . A motion 'was made by Ralph Williams and seconded by John Stack
to accept the Minutes of the August '13, 1996 meeting. All were
in favor.
2. The next meeting of the Landmark 'Preservation Commission will be
held on Tuesday, October 15, 1996 at 7:00 p.m.
3. Cliff discussed the resignation of Valerie Marvin with the commission.
Judith Terry, Town Clerk will advertise for a new member to replace
her. Cliff also received a verbal resignation from Toni Boyd, as
she has relocated to Washington D.C. The secretary will write to
Toni asking her to put her resignation in writing to the Town Board.
4. A motion was made by Ralph Williams and seconded by Bob Kassner to
nominate Deborah Winsor as the commission's representative to the
Architectural' Review Board. All were in favor. A letter•will be
written to the Town Board recommending Deborah as the Landmark
Preservation` Commission's representative to the Architectural Review

5. Landmark Registery - Hopefully all the information will be in soon and
the commission •will review it. The registery shoud be ready by the
first of the years. -
6. Fort Corchaug -•There is„no new information
at this time. The
commission has sent their recommendations to the Town Board re:

the preservation of Fort Corchaug. A motion was made by Ralph
Williams and seconded by Bob Kassner to nominate Deborah Winsor
as the Chairman of the Fort Corchaug subcommittee of the Landmark
Preservation Commission with the support and help of the other
members of the commission. All were in favor. The plan of the
motion is to get information so that we are in a better position to
advise the Town Board, when the time comes.
6. A motion was made by Bob Kassner and seconded by Ralph Williams to
adjourn the meeting at 8 :55 p.m. All were in favor.
