LANDMARK PRESERVATION COMMISSION
LANDMARK PRESERVATION COMMISSION MEETING
OCTOBER 15, 1996
MINUTES
Present were: Cliff Benfield, John Stack, Ralph Williams and
Deborah Winsor.
1 . A motion was made by Ralph Williams and seconded by John
Stack to accept the Minutes of the September 17, 1996
meeting as read. All were in favor.
2. The next meeting of the commission is scheduled for Tuesday,
November 19, 1996• at 7:00 p.m.
3. a) Cliff related conversation with Town Clerk re: applicants
for commission. Only one person has applied and that is
Eric Haesche.
b) Town Board has not advertised for second opening on
commission until resignation is received.
c) No correspondence received from-Toni Boyd on her resig-
nation. Judy Terry has sent letter to her also.
4. a) The Landmark Registery is completed and is now in the
hands of Illumination Graphic Design of Greenport for
layout and typesetting.
b) Three pages to be added to registery:
1 . Landmark Preservation Commission's role and members -
First draft read to commission.
2. Supervisor Cochran's letter to be drafted.
3. Preface - First draft read to commission. New draft
will be written.

5. No word on 1997 budget approval.
6. Deborah Winsor represented the Landmark Preservation Commission
at two meetings with interested parties re: Fort Corchaug. Deborah
gave report and suggested actions by ,Landmark Preservation Commission.
The commission has already complied with three of five suggestions.
Deborah will persue commission's recommendations already submitted
and other two suggestions. Deborah says she is enjoying roll and
will continue.
7. A motion was made by Ralph Williams and seconded by John Stack
to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 p.m. All were in favor.
