1. Call to Order/Greetings
II. Approval of Minutes—October Meeting
III. Chairman's Comments
A. Requests for Information—Southold Library, Poquatuck Hall (Orient), Horton's
Point Lighthouse, Starbucks
B. Budget—Scott Russell advised that he submitted LPC budget as requested;
Town Board has not yet finalized budgets
C. Attended Architectural Review Committee meeting on Nov. 2
IV. Oid Business/Committee Updates
A: Review Cutchogue-New Suffolk Free Library Application-review final design
for dormer over entrance; vote on Certificate of Appropriateness
B. Discuss finalizing landmarks roster, mailings, brochures and general
publicity/infomercials
1. Review Adv. —Decide on schedule for publication
2. Review new brochure:Why Preserve Our Local Landmarks
3. Discuss "Landmarks"and"Landmarks in Historic Districts".
4. Review and approve letter- Decide on process and schedule for
mailing; decide on date for general information meeting
5. Brochures and certificate to accompany mailing to owners and for
distribution in Building Dept.
C. Continued discussion and review of Standard Operating Procedures—Larry
Jungblut and Damon Rallis, Building Dept
1. What's required?What's exempt?What can be fast-tracked?
2. Clearly define "Landmark"—contributing vs. non contributing features;
add to application for listing on local register and C of A
3. Code revisions, additions, etc.
4. Certificate of Completion
5. Fees—Suggest amount to Town Board to be charged for LPG review
6. Develop check list to facilitate and expedite applications
7. Place above in a manual for Bldg. Dept and commissiomers
V. New Business
A. Nominations for new commissioner—Susan Roach, Mattituck
B. Suggestion for promoting Heritage Tourism at Laurel Lake Preserve
