Chairman's Comments— Deferred until May meeting as this meeting will be devoted entirely to discussion of Ramone application in preparation for their hearing at 4 p.m. today IV. Old Business—Postponed to May meeting A. Continue discussion of Ramone application for demolition of house at 130 Village Lane, Orient. • Define demolition as compared to major renovation/alteration/restoration • Review both engineers' reports • Review Ramone letters of March 16 and 31 • Can we decide on both demolition and approve new house design at same hearing (Jennifer to comment and decide.) • Must be specific on reasons for denying (or approving) C of A • Other issues V. Welcome/Open Hearing A. Introduce Commissioners II. Read Legal Notice of Hearing III. Give Overview of Chapter 170, Landmarks Preservation, of the Southold Town Code A. Comment on Commission's Purpose/Mission (170-2-13-C (3)) IV. Need for Applying for a Building Permit/Certificate of Appropriateness (170-6-A-B) A. Review the Hearing Procedure (170-7-13) B. Review Criteria for approval for demolition of historic landmark(170-9-A&B) C. Review Hardship Criteria for approval of demolition (170-10) D. Review Timeline for Application Process; Commission will expedite process as much as possible 1. Building Inspector's Notice of Disapproval—within one week of application 2. Hold public hearing within 60 days 3. Act on application within 60 days of hearing 4. Applicant sent C of A or denial within seven days of determination 5. Written appeal of Commission's decision by applicant to Town Board within 30 days of Commission's determination 6. No time limit on Town Board's time for deciding on appeal V.
