I. Call to Order—3:00 p.m.-Jim Grathwohl, Chairman
II. Approval of Minutes—Quorum not present at February 15 meeting;
Meeting cancelled.
III. Chairman's Comments—SPLIA-sponsored meeting on Restructured SHPO
on March 29(see attached announcement);Info: Greenport's Commission
refuses to approve already completed project that failed to meet the
preservation code relating to vinyl siding(see article in ST of January 6,
2011);Review of 2010 accomplishments; Goals for 2011;LPC Elections
including new Chairman(Postpone if not a quorum)
IV. Old Business—
• Up-date on Rose application for alterations and possible moving on-site of
house at 145 King Street in Orient
• Update on alterations to Peyton-Fowler(Blake)house in Orient
• On-going:Progress on CLG(tabled);Ben Franklin Mileage Markers(See
New Business below)
• Committee Reports:Awards Program;Education;
Outreach Program thru community/hamlet meetings
• Promoting additions to Town Landmarks Register from SPLIA List with
anticipated support of Supervisor in hiring a summer intern to update
Landmarks Roster(Not in budget)
V. New Business—
• Administrative approval for replacing roof on Doug Constant's house on
Village Lane in Orient.
• Propose revising LPC Handbook to clarify how it relates to new and
replacement roofs,i.e. Doug Constant's above. (see pages 11 thru 13)
• Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Council interested in assisting with
restoration of Ben Franklin markers; Zach Studenroth,Director,invited to
April meeting to propose adding each marker to National Register. He will
also propose making the Cutchogue Halo Zone and the one in New
Suffolk historic districts.
• Review application for adding parcel at 28080 Main Road in Cutchogue to
Landmark roster
• Any other business to be discussed
