I. Call to Order—3:00 p.m.—Jamie Garretson, Acting Chairman
II. Approval of Minutes April 19 meeting (Damon).
III. Chairman's Comments—See Jim Grathwohl's e-mail, dated May 10
IV. Old Business—
• Update on alterations to Peyton-Fowler(Blake Goble) house in Orient
(Damon)
• Review application for adding parcel at 28080 Main Road (SW corner of
New Suffolk Rd. and Route 25)in Cutchogue village to Landmark roster
• Committee Reports: Awards Program; Education and Outreach Program
thru community/hamlet meetings
• Promoting additions to Town Landmarks Register from SPLIA List
• Hiring an intern to update Landmarks Register(approved by Town
Board); contact SPLIA for recommendation on experienced interns
V. New Business—
• Discuss replacement for unexpired term of Ron Rossi who has resigned.
Should consider some one from Mattituck-Laurel area(See Jim
Grathwohl's e-mail for his recommendations. Consider others.)
• Propose revising LPC Handbook to clarify how it relates to new and
replacement roofs, (See pages 11 thru 13.)
• Cutchogue-New Suffolk Historical Council interested in assisting with
restoration of Ben Franklin markers;Zach Studenroth, Director, invited to
May meeting to propose adding each marker to National Register. He will
also propose making the Cutchogue Halo Zone and the one in New
Suffolk historic districts.
