if. Approval of Minutes—June 21, 2011 Meeting
III. Chairman's Comments— Introduce Don Feiler, proposed new LPC member
from Mattituck; introduce Mark Terry, Town planner, and moderator of Comprehensive
Plan meeting on July 14; Dan Durett's comments at July 10 meeting about preserving
ethnic landmarks in the Town; Exhibits at local historical societies; meeting of NF
Heritage Alliance; Heritage Tourism, i.e. National Trust tour of NF in 2012
IV. Old Business—
A. Formally nominate Don Feiler as new LPC member as replacement for Ron
Rossi
B. Discuss and make recommendations on draft Community Character chapter
of Town Master Plan—Mark Terry
C. Discuss plan and possible NYS funding sources to restore Ben Franklin
markers; C-NS Historical Council's interest in assisting in this project—Mark
Tent'and Jim Grathwohl
D. Hiring an intern to update SPLIA list—Jamie Garretson
E. Update status on proposed alterations on Peyton-Fowler-Nealz(Blake Goble)
house in Orient—Damon Rallis
F. Officially deny application for landmark status of former Betts Hotel at 28080
Main Road (Gale/Sotheby's Realty) in Cutchogue Village—Damon
G. Review sample Codes of Conduct for LPC members from Jennifer Andolaro,
Asst. Town Attorney—Damon
H. Status of awards program for outstanding restoration of residential and
commercial/business properties
I. Update on Eagle Scout project at Poquatuck Hall in Orient- Damon
V. New Business
A. Updates on Committee Reports:Awards; Education and Outreach; etc.
B. Suggested updates to LPC Handbook clarifying new and replacement roofs
C. Propose new historic districts as suggested in master plan, i.e. New Suffolk
D. Consider representative from unincorporated section of Greenport
E. Assisting East End Seaport Museum in preserving Southold Town's
lighthouses-Barbara Schnitzler
F. Any other business to be discussed
