SCTM#1 000-25-2-11.1, has been chosen as the recipient of The Southold Town
Landmark Preservation Commission's Residential Landmark of the Year for 2011.
Commissioners nominated and awarded The Cohen Rouse specifically for the work
done in accordance with a Certificate of Appropriateness issued on April 16, 2007. The
Certificate of Appropriateness granted the approval for additions and alterations to this
historic structure.
The Landmark Preservation Commission has determined that your willingness to
maintain the historic integrity of this building through careful consideration and
construction deserves recognition.
As a partner-in-preservation we appreciate your commitment to help preserve the historic
homes and buildings in Southold Town. It is evident through your efforts that you agree
that they contribute significantly to our architectural heritage and unique quality of life

SCTM#1000-35-1-25, has been chosen as the recipient of The Southold Town Landmark
Preservation Commission's Commercial Landmark of the Year for 2011.
Commissioners nominated and awarded Brecknock Hall specifically for the work done
in accordance with a Certificate of Appropriateness issued on September 7, 2007. The
Certificate of Appropriateness granted the approval of the construction of a handicap
- - ramp required for a building's change of use to "public assembly."
The Landmark Preservation Commission has determined that the foundation's

reuse deserves recognition.
