Turner Unoccupied Upon request of Robert W. Tasker, Attorney, Greenport, New York, I made an inspection of this two-story, wood framed dwelling. I picked up key from Robert Adipetro, Peconic, and began this in- spection at approximately 1:50 P.M. The first floor consists of a kitchen with a pantry, a dining room, large L-shaped living room, and a bedroom. Entrances to building include a front entry from an open porch to a hallway, and two entrances to the kitchen at the rear of building, one at the south side from an open porch and one at the rear of building which is protected by a lean-to type enclosure. This enclosure also provides an entry to the cellar. The second floor has seven bedrooms and a full bathroom. The hallway providing access to the bedrooms is divided approximately midway through the building with a doorway. There are two sets of stairs to the second floor, one from the first floor hallway and the second from the kitchen area. The only supply of heat to the building is from a coal-fired, warm air furnace located in the cellar of building's red brick and masonry foundation. The furnace has one heat outlet which is cut into the living room floor and is approximately centered in the building. There are no accessory structures on the premises. The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Town of Southold, New York, were found: Entrances - to kitchen, no means of controlling light in room on entering, Article V, Section 52-56 A (1). Ceilings - dining room and living room, plaster loose and cracked throughout both rooms. In dining room, section of ceiling is missing, exposing the lath, Article III, Section 52-32 C. Hallway - second floor, on east end of building, ceiling plaster cracked and section of ceiling missing, exposing wood lath, Article III, Section 52-32 C. Bathroom - no moisture resistant floor covering on bathroom floor, Article II, Section 52-26 A (4). Exterior - oornish of the north and south sides of easterly portion of building are deteriorating. Excessive openings expose attic area to the elements, Article III, Section 52-30 C. Page Two - Turner Kitchen sink - water seal on wasteline wrapped with a rag. It appears this section of wasteline has a leak, Article V, Section 52-51 A 2. Inspection completed at approximately 2:45 P.M. returned to Mr. Adipetro. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal--(S-9 form or equal). 3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters. 4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Resi'dences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable. B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing" land uses: 1. Accurate survey.of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings. 3'.
