Telephone (631)765-1802 O Town Hall,53095 Route 25 Fax (631)765-9502 P.O.Box 1179 Southold,New York 11971-0959 yCou�m,� SOUTHOLD TOWN LANDMARK PRESERVATION COMMISSION RESOLUTION #11.17.15.1 November 17,2015 Certificate of Appropriateness RE: 260 Horton's Lane, Southold, SCTM# 1000-61.4-3.1 Owner: Gerald Lang RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, 260 Horton's Lane, Southold,NY is on the Town of Southold,New York State and National Registers of Historic Places, and WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 56-7 (b)of the Town Law(Landmarks Preservation Code) of the Town of Southold, all proposals for material change/alteration must be reviewed and granted a Certificate of Appropriateness by the Southold Town Landmarks Preservation Commission prior to the issuance of a Building Permit, and WHEREAS, an application was submitted to reconstruct the south wall of the structure to its original fagade, including a"back porch"area, as well as to remove the front (west)vestibule and reconstruct the structure's original porch. WHEREAS commissioners previously approved an administrative permit for limited restoration and repair work to the structure. WHEREAS commissioners met with the applicant to review the proposed project on site, and WHEREAS, a public hearing for the purpose of considering approval of the proposal was held on November 17, 2015, and, WHEREAS, the applicant has agreed to use the Anderson 200 series 2 over 2 windows as noted in photos presented during the public hearing and trimmed to match the existing windows, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Southold Town Historic Preservation Commission determines that the proposal as outlined in plans with the revision date of 11.7.15 r and marked Al, A2&A3, subject to final stamped drawings to be submitted to the Southold Town Building Department, meet the criteria for approval under Section 170-8 (A) of the Southold Town Code. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Commission approves the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness.
