Recommendation to the Southold Town Board to add
The Terry House (57020 Main Road,Southold) to the
Southold Town Registry of Historic Landmarks
RESOLUTION: Make a recommendation to the town board of the Town of Southold to
designate 57020 Main Road (The Terry House)as a historic landmark for addition to
the town's"Registry.of Historic Landmarks"per Chapter 170-5 of the town code of the Town of
Southold.
WHEREAS, On August 16, 2016,Karen Lund Rooney made application to the Southold
Town Historic Preservation Commission for inclusion of her property at 57020
Main Road(The Terry House)to the town's"Registry of Historic Landmarks."
WHEREAS, Commissioners reviewed the application,visited the property, and found that it
meets the requirements for designation as set forth in Chapter 170-5 (A) of the
town code of the Town of Southold.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Southold Town Historic Preservation
Commission recommends that the town board of the Town of Southold designate 57020 Main
Road (The Terry House) as a historic landmark for addition to the town's"Registry of Historic
Landmarks"per Chapter 170-5 of the town code of the Town of Southold.
