The project consists of the construction of a timber stairway down the bluff face to provide pedestrian access from the owner's upland to
the beach and Long Island Sound shorelme. The environmental impact of the project will be limited to the temporary loss/disturbance
of bluff soils and vegetation at and immediately adjacent to the site of construction. As the stairway is designed to be elevated at least 3'
-4'above grade to allow vegetation to continue to survive beneath it;and the site plan incorporates the restoration and revegetation of
disturbed areas adjacent to the stairway with native vegetation at the conclusion of construction, the project is designed to have no
significant adverse impacts on the bluff, beach,or waters of Long Island Sound and will thus be consistent with Policy 6.
