LOCAL WATERFRONT REVITALIZATION PROGRAM
TOWN OF SOUTHOLD
MEMORANDUM
To: Michael Domino, President
Town of Southold Board of Trustees
From: Mark Terry, LWRP Coordinator
Date: April 12, 2018
Re: Local Waterfront Coastal Consistency Review for STEPHEN WALSH
SCTM# 1000-117-5-30
Patricia C. Moore, Esq. on behalf of STEPHEN WALSH requests a Wetland Permit to construct a
two-story 12'x28' addition onto the southerly side of existing dwelling. Located: 7065 New Suffolk
Road, New Suffolk. SCTM# 1000-117-5-30
The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the
Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy
Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form
submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that
the actions are CONSISTENT with the Policy Standards and therefore are CONSISTENT with the
LWRP. This recommendation was based upon the following:
1. The Zoning Board of Appeals granted a variance (7129) for the action in 2018 with the
following condition:
a. Applicant is to landscape the southern lot line for the first 85 feet from New Suffolk Road
towards the flagged wetlands with evergreen trees having a minimum height of six (6)
feet to be continuously maintained.
2. Drywells are proposed.
3. A non-disturbance zone is delineated from the edge of the wetland area.
4. It has been indicated that the addition will be flood compliant.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its
written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
