Opening:
The special meeting of the Agricultural Advisory Committee was called to order at 7:12 pm on
November 14, 2018 in the Southold Town Hall conference room.
Minutes and Administration:
Acceptance of meeting minutes of September 5, 2018.
Motion made by Karen Rivara, seconded by John Sepenoski Jr. to adopt the
Agricultural Advisory meeting minutes of September 5, 2018. All in favor,
motion carried.
Acceptance of meeting minutes of September 19, 2018.
Motion made by John Sepenoski Jr., seconded by Doug Cooper to adopt the
Agricultural Advisory meeting minutes of September 19, 2018. All in favor,
motion carried.
Acceptance of meeting minutes of November 7, 2018.
Motion made by Karen Rivara, seconded by Doug Cooper to adopt the
Agricultural Advisory meeting minutes of November 7, 2018. All in favor, motion
carried.
Meetings remaining for 2018:
1. November 28, 2018
2. December 12, 2018
Meeting calendar for 2019 submitted November 14,
2018.
Review with Town Attorney to address vacant positions on the committee.
Codification of the committee requires a majority vote to remove a member from
the committee and re-advertise for vacant committee position(s).
Next Meeting:
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday November 28, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the
Southold Town Hall Conference room.
Review Proposed Acquisition of Development Rights:
No applications submitted to the committee from the Town Board or Land Preservation.

Proposed Agricultural Revisions to Town Code:
Review of Section 280 Article III to present bullet points to the Town Board for the work session
scheduled for Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
Discussion of On-Farm Processing.
Discussion on Agricultural Permitted Uses.
Discussion of Chapter 72 Farm-stand Code modifications to be incorporated into
Chapter 280.
Modification and review of Definitions.
Review of Agricultural schedule #8 Bulk, area and parking regulations.
Review of Agricultural related Site Plan Applications/Sub-Divisions:
No applications submitted to the committee for review.
Review Proposed zoning changes in Agricultural Districts:
No proposed zoning changes submitted to the committee.
Local, County, State and Federal Legislation related to Agriculture:
No Legislation reviewed.
Review Applications for structures related to Agriculture on parcels with Town /County
owned development rights.
Letter drafted to Brian Cummings, Planner, from the committee recommending approval
of a building permit for the Jakubiuk Agricultural Barn SCTM# 1000-55-1-8.3. Letter
to Planning submitted Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
New Business:
Discussion on the Shellfish Industry and the DEC water sampling.
Adjournment:
Motion to adjourn at 9:35 pm by Doug Cooper seconded by Karen Rivara.
Motion carried, all in favor.
