Upon receipt of an application for a Pre-EXisting Certificate
of Occupancy I made an inspection of the buildings at the above
captioned premises. Accompanied by Mrs. Talbott I began this
inspection at approximately 10:00 A.M.
The first floor consists of a rear entry porch, living
room with fireplace, sun porch, two bedrooms, full bathroom off the
hallway, kitchen, laundry room, a full bathroom off the laundry room
and a dining porch. An addition to the westerly bedroom was made
under Building Permit # 2075, dated May 28, 1963 to which subsequent
Certificate of Occupancy # Z1742 was issued which included a full
bathroom, a dressing and closet area. Second floor contains a large
recreation room, bedroom with a full bathroom. Heat is furnished to all
rooms from an oil fired forced warm air furnace located in full cellar
Domestic hotwater is furnished to all plumbing fixtures within the
dwelling, from two electric hotwater heaters. There are two separate
sewage systems within the dwelling. Accessory buildings in the rear
yard area consist of a large L shaped wooden frame structure which
contains a workshop area and facilities for storing and garaging an
automobile. Adjacent to this structure is a one car garage constructed
of cement block built into a bank. There is a small cement block
utility building and a two story wood frame structure with a two
bay garage on ground floor and sleeping quarters and half bathroom
on second floor accessible by exterior stairway on rear of building.
The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52
Code of the Town of Southold, N.Y. were found:
Two story accessory structure - second floor half bath-no
moisture resistant floor covering for wood floor. Article
V, Section 52-26 A 4.
Dwelling:
Rear entry - no means of controlling light at point of
entry. Article V, Section 52-56 A 1.
Sewage system - no house trap provided on the sewage
system for the northerly end of building. Article V,
Section 52-51C 1.

APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in ~ to the Building
Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and
unusual natural or topographic features.
2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal--(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and
installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for
the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural
or topographic features.
2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings.
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent in-
formation required to prepare a certificate.
