Upon receipt of an application for a Pre -Existing Certificate of
Occupancy I made an inspection of the building at the above captioned
premises. I picked up the key from the office of Reginald Hudson,
Main Road, Greenport and began this inspection at approximately 3:30
P.M.
This dwelling is a one and one half story wood frame structure
constructed on a cement block foundation. The ground floor contains
front entry hallway, three bedrooms, full bathroom, living room with
fireplace, dining room, kitchen, recreation room and an attached one
car garage. Second floor contains a half bathroom, a sitting room
and one bedroom. Heat is furnished to building from an oil fired hot
water furnace located in the cellar. Radiation^provided in the cellar,
first and second floor of building. The cellar area is partitioned to
provide a recreation room, two storage rooms and a furnace room. Cellar
is accessible by means of stairway from the garage area.
The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Code
of the Town of Southold, N.Y. were found:
Electrical - An exterior light fixture, near the door entry at the
rear of building to living room - is deteriorated, the light
socket is not secured to fixture also the exterior light to
garage door is rusted and deteriorated from the elements it is not
secured to the base of fixture. An exterior light fixture near
the entrance to the recreation room at the rear of building is
deteriorated and rusted at the base of fixture. Article V, Section
52-56 A 1 & 2.
Air Su 1 - Furnace room - not vented. Article V, Section 52-53
G & 2.
Emergency Exits - recreation room - no secondary means of egress
provided for emergency use. Article II, Section 52-28 B , Article
I. Section 52-15(Reference to New York State Code A 206-1 b)
Electrical - Electric water pump in cellar two wire pigtailyd with
regular wall outlet no ground provided. Article V, Section 52-56
A 1 & 5.
Light and Ventilation - Second floor half bathroom on exterior
wall - no window provided in room or mechanical means of ventilation
provided to exterior. Article II, Section 52-26 B 4 a & b.

The second floor of dwelling does not provide the minimum
head room of 716" as required by Zoning Regulations, Chapter
100, Article 1, Section 100 - 13. (Floor area liveable).

APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in triplicate to the Building
Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and
unusual natural or topographic features.
2. Final approval of Health Dept, of water supply and sewerage disposal—(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and
installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for
the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non -conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural
or topographic features.
2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings.
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent in-
formation required to prepare a certificate.
C. Fees:
