Upon receipt of an application for a Pre -Existing Certificate of
Occupancy I made an inspection of the buildings on this premises. I
was admitted to dwelling by Mrs. Springer who accompanied me during
this inspection that began at approximately 1:35 P.M.
The dwelling is a one and one half story wood framed structure
with a one car garage on north side attached by a breezeway. First
floor contains a bedroom, inside half bath, kitchen with dining area,
laundry room and living room. Second floor has two bedrooms and a
full bathroom. Heat is furnished to all rooms from an oil fired hot-
water furnace located in full cellar of buildings cement block found-
ation. Accessory structure in rear yard area is a wood framed building
providing storage and workshop facilities.
The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Code of
the Town of Southold, N.Y. were found:
Half bathroom -Inside bathroom, no mechanical ventilation. Article
I, Sec ion 2-26 B.4b.
Stair -to cellar, treads are uneven, nosing of treads were nailed
to treads and are not firm under foot, open side requires hand
rail. Article II, Section 52-27 A.B. Insufficient lighting of
stairway. Article II, Section 52-26 B.3.
Electrical -furnace, wire connection for oil burner motor. Article
V, Section 52-56 A.1.
Inspection completed at approximately 2:00 P.M.

APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in duplicate to the Building Inspec-
tor with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual
natural or topographic features.
2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal—(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installa-
tions, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non -conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
1. Accurate survey of peoperty showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or
topographic features.
2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings.
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent informa-
tion required to prepare a certificate.
