Opening:
The regular meeting of the Agricultural Advisory Committee was called to order at 7:10 pm on
November 7, 2018 in the Southold Town Hall conference room.
Minutes and Administration:
Acceptance of meeting minutes of October 10, 2018.
Motion made by Karen Rivara, seconded by Doug Cooper to adopt the
Agricultural Advisory meeting minutes of October 10, 2018. All in favor.
Acceptance of meeting minutes of October 31, 2018.
Motion made by Doug Cooper, seconded by Mark VanBourgondien with Tom
Stevenson voting no as quorum not present at the October 31, 2018 meeting.
Committee request: Meeting minutes of September 5, 2018 and September 19, 2018
are re-formatted to be presented for acceptance at next meeting.
Meetings remaining for 2018 adjusted from last meeting and set up:
1. November 14, 2018 (Special Meeting)
2. November 28, 2018
3. December 12, 2018
Meeting calendar for 2019 reviewed and set up for submission to the Town
Schedule meeting with Scott Russell and Mike Verity of the Building Dept. to
clarify role of AAC in structure approval.
Schedule meeting with Town Attorney to address issue of vacant positions on
the committee.
Re-advertise for vacant committee position(s).
Next Meeting:
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the
Southold Town Hall Conference room.
Review Proposed Acquisition of Development Rights:
No applications submitted to the committee from the Town Board or Land Preservation.

Proposed Agricultural Revisions to Town Code:
Review of Town Board Work Session November 7, 2018. Permitted Uses-Agriculture.
Discussion of On-Farm Processing.
Discussion of On-Farm Direct Marketing.
Discussion of Chapter 72 Farm stand Code brought into Chapter 280 with updated
modifications.
Farm Stand Operators Permit reviewed.
Review of Definitions.
Review of Agricultural schedule #8 Bulk, area and parking regulations.
Review of Agricultural related Site Plan Applications/Sub-Divisions:
No applications submitted to the committee for review.
Review Proposed zoning changes in Agricultural Districts:
No proposed zoning changes submitted to the committee.
Local, County, State and Federal Legislation related to Agriculture:
Discussion continued on ADA compliance regarding agricultural websites.
Review Applications for structures related to Agriculture on parcels with Town /County
owned development rights.
Discussion on new application from the Planning Board on Jakubiuk Agricultural
Barn SCTM# 1000-55-1-8.3.
Motion made by Mark VanBourgondien to approve Planning Board application
on the Jakubiuk Agricultural Barn. Seconded by Tom Stevenson. All were in
favor. Chris Baiz to draft letter verifying committee approval.
New Business:
No new business presented.

Motion to adjourn at 9:40 pm by Doug Cooper seconded by Chris Baiz.
Motion carried, all in favor.
