HomeMy WebLinkAboutLP-10/16/2018 LAND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING Minutes & Discussion Notes from Meeting held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. Town Hall Annex Executive Board Room Members Present: Sam McCullough, Chairman John Simicich Anne Murray Will Lee Eric Keil Doris McGreevy (7:20 p.m.) Members Absent: Lillian Ball Also present: Melissa Spiro, Land Preservation Coordinator Melanie Doroski, Land Preservation Secretary Bob Ghosio, Town Board Liaison Commencement  The meeting began at 7:03 p.m. with five LPC members present. Committee Minutes and Administration  Acceptance of LPC meeting minutes from October 2, 2018 MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to adopt the 10/2/2018 Land Preservation Committee meeting minutes. Motion carried: 4/0/1 (LPC member John Simicich abstained as he was not in attendance for the 10/2/2018 LPC meeting. LPC member Doris McGreevy not present at time of vote.)  Next Regular LPC Meeting Date The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 30, 2018 Land Preservation Applications & Potential Applications MOTION made by Eric Keil, seconded by Anne Murray, to enter into Executive Session – Proposed Acquisition, Sale of Real Property Where Publicity Would Substantially Affect the Value Thereof Motion carried: 5/0 (LPC member Doris McGreevy not present at time of vote) The LPC members entered into EXECUTIVE SESSION at 7:04 p.m.  Melissa Spiro, Land Preservation Coordinator \[executive session\] Inquiries, new applications, appraisals and current applications MOTION made by Eric Keil, seconded by Anne Murray, to end Executive Session. Motion carried: 6/0 EXECUTIVE SESSION ENDED at 8:22 p.m. MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to direct Land Preservation Coordinator Melissa Spiro to extend an offer to landowners, Eugene P. Krupski and Maryann Krupski, his wife, for the Town’s purchase of a development rights easement on approximately 48.5± acres of the 57.5± acre farm (SCTM #1000-100.-2-3.2) at a price per buildable acre supported by the appraisal. This offer is subject to Town Board review. Motion carried: 6/0 MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to direct Land Preservation Coordinator Melissa Spiro to extend an offer to landowner, the Estate of John W. Robinson (deceased), for the Town’s purchase of a development rights easement on approximately 30.5± acres of the 34.5± acre farm (SCTM #1000-100.-2-4) at a price per buildable acre supported by the appraisal. This offer is subject to Town Board review. Motion carried: 6/0 MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to direct Land Preservation Coordinator Melissa Spiro to extend an offer to landowner, MDH, LLC and 410 Sound Avenue, LLC, for the Town’s purchase of a development rights easement on approximately 7.96± acres of the 10.62± acre farm (SCTM #1000-120.-3-2) known as the “West Property” and 7.65± acres of the 10.255± acre farm (SCTM #1000-120.-3-11.8) known as the “East Property” at a price per buildable acre supported by the appraisal. This offer is subject to Town Board review.
