Opening:
The regular meeting of the Agricultural Advisory Committee was called to order at 7:10 pm on
October 10, 2018, in Southold Town Hall conference room.
Minutes and Administration:

July 11and July 25 minutes reviewed and approved.

Minutes of September 5 and September 19 tabled until next meeting.
Motion to adopt minutes by Tom Stevenson, 2nd by Doug Cooper.
Motion carried, all in favor.
Next Meeting:

The next regular meeting is scheduled for Wednesday October 24 at 7:00 pm in the Southold
Town Hall Conference room.
Review Proposed Acquisition of Development Rights:
No applications submitted to the committee from the Town Board or Land Preservation.
Proposed Agricultural Revisions to Town Code:
Review and discussion of Town Code Chapter 72 Agricultural Uses.
Review and discussion of Town Code Chapter 280-13 Use Regulations.
Review and discussion of Town Code Chapter 280-14 Bulk, area and parking
regulations.
Review of Agricultural related Site Plan Applications/Sub-Divisions:

No proposed zoning changes submitted to the committee.
Local, County, State and Federal Legislation related to Agriculture:
None.
Review Applications for structures related to Agriculture on parcels with Town /County
owned development rights.
No applications submitted to the committee for review.
On-Farm Direct Marketing Permit Review:
No permit applications submitted to the committee for review.
New Business:
Water conservation discussed including tiered pricing for water and water meters on
wells.
Long Island Farm Bureau will be having a meeting at Stonewalls Restaurant on Monday

October 22at 7:00 pm. New York State Farm Bureau president will be in attendance
and there will be voting on policy and officers.
Adjournment:
Motion to adjourn at 9:00pm by Doug Cooper seconded by Mark VanBourgondien.
Motion carried, all in favor.
