Upon receipt of application for a Pre -Existing Certificate of
Occupancy, I made an inspection of this two story framed
dwelling. I was admitted to building by Ms. Smith and began
inspection at approximately 11:00 A.M.
First floor consists of a laundry room, kitchen with
pantry, one half bathroom, dining room and a two room living
area. Second floor has four bedrooms and a full bathroom.
Heat is furnished to all rooms from an oil fired furnace
located in partial cellar; balance of building foundation is
crawl space.
The following violations of The Housing Code, Chapter 52,
Town of Southold, were found:
Pantry, ceiling light fixture broken. Article V,
Section 52-56 A.l.
Bathrooms (1st and 2nd floors) no moisture resistant
floor covering. Article II, Section 52-26 A.4.
Bedroom, (northwest), open electric junction box in
closet; wall light fixture, broken light
socket. Article V, Section 52-56 A.1.
Bedroom, (north), broken ceiling light fixture. Article
V, Section 52-56 A.1.
Bathroom and Hallway (2nd floor), broken and loose
plaster on walls. Article III, Section 52-32 C.
Secondary.8tatrVay, from second floor to kitchen. No
light for safe ascent or descent. Article II,
Section 52-26 B.2.

Open Yard Area - rear yard, excessive accumulation
of plastic garbage containers and large
pile of refuse. Article VI, Sec. 52-60,
Sec. 52-61 D., Article VII, Sec. 52-72 E.
An unfurnished accessory structure in rear yard was con-
structed under Building Permit #48272 dated June 29, 1970 for
storage. Permit has expired and no Certificate of Occupancy
has been issued.
Inspection completed at approximately 11:35 A.M.

APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in DUPLICATE to the Building
Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and
unusual natural or topographic features.
2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal—(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and
installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for
the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non -conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
1. Accurate survey -of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural
or topographic features.
2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings.
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent in-
formation required to prepare a certificate.
C. Fees:
