SUPERVISOR HARRIS: The 1991 allowance was $700.00. This is a reduction in
the amount of money that is allowed. This includes the hotel, and the registration

item during the period from January 1, 1992 through December 31, 1992.
SUPERVISOR HARRIS: This is in accord, or in a parallel, with the bid specs,
that are now required as of January 1, 1992, which are $10,000.00 and less,
you don't have to go out to bid for various items. It's obvious why, because
the expense on these items now is such that $10,000.00 is still not very much
money, when it comes to purchasing equipment of this caliber. Certainly, the
Town Board is notified on all purchases in advance whenever a purchase is made
for any component for the Town of Southold.
17.-Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Councilwoman Hussie, Councilman Lize~ski,

$10,000.00 without. Anything above you have to go out to bid, and this allows
the Commissioner of Public Works to do so without prior approval.

SUPERVISOR HARRIS: I'm particularly proud to have this'committee being formed.
This town, and previous administrations, have worked deligently on water in
this town, which I feel is a major component to any future planning, and updating
to any Zoning Code, or any Master Plan. I feel that with this Groundwater Resources
Committee working closely with the Water Advisory Committee, that already exists,
that a water policy will be formulated for the future of Southold Town to use
and put into effect, that at one point will certainly lead us into decades to come,
as far as our groundwater management; and the last resolution is ~50. These
are my appointments to the Town Board Standing Committees for 1992.

SUPERVISOR HARRIS: Dr. Hussie, I'd like to call her now. She is very modest,
and I have to tell the audience this. She has a PhD. She is a Doctor, as
is Tom Wickham, who also could be called Doctor, however, these people in their
modesty have said, please do not refer to me as Doctors. I felt at the Organiza-
tional meeting, that I just had to do that, just at the first meeting, and it will
never be heard from me again, however I have put that on the record. (tape
chan'ge) Work closely with you in your dealings on a daily basis for the further
betterment of Southold Town for many, many years to come, and with that,
would any Councilman like to say anything at the close of this Organizational
Meeting?
COUNCILWOMAN HUSSIE: I am delighted to be the Councilperson of the Town.
Delighted, and I hope I do the very best job that I promised during my campaign.
SUPERVISOR HARRIS: Councilman Lizewski?
COUNCILMAN LIZEWSKI: It looks like a lot of work. I hope I can do my best
for the town. I think this Groundwater Committee is an important one, and
I hope to work very hard at it, as I've done everything else in my life with
hard work, and I hope I can produce.
SUPERVISOR HARRIS: Deputy Supervisor Penny?
COUNCILMAN PENNY: I'd just like to welcome our new Town Board members
on board, and wish everybody a Happy New Year. We're off to a start, and
the weather is still mild.
SUPERVISOR HARRIS: Councilman Wickham? I ~lso would like to wish everybody
a Happy and Healthy New Year for 199.2, and may God bless, and as this town
deliberates on many problems, that is has before it, now only inhe.rited, but
also those we haven't even encountered, I'm sure this administration as previous
administration have done, will deal with them forthwith, honestly, and with
integrity to the best job to their ability for the people who elected them to office.
Thank you, and a motion to adjourn.
