Customer Access-Parking Spaces:Vehicle Spaces The pavement surface shall be cleaned free of grease,oil,mud,dust,dirt,grass,loose gravel,loose or flaking paint and other deleterious material.The area approx.26'wide x 20'long shall be seal coated with two coats of asphalt sealant as shown in Sketch 1.Apply the second seal coat after the first coat dries,to assure proper thickness. Customer Access-Entry Doors/Doorways:Dimensions For the customer entry,remove exterior storm door and associated storm door hardware as shown on Sketch 2. Return items to the facility Postmaster or OIC. Remove customer entrance door threshold. Install new threshold to be 1/2"MAXIMUM high and beveled d greater than 1/4". Replace the closer on the entrance door with a new unit,so that the door opens with a maximum voluntai} force of 8.5 lbs,and closes from 90 to 12 degrees in a minimum of 5 seconds. Document door pressure and closing time achieved in the Door Closer log included in the RFP. Remove the knob lockset on the entrance door and return to the facility Postmaster or OIC.Replace with a cylindrical style CLASSROOM lever lockset having the same material as the existing historic locksets (antique brass finish,field verify. New lockset cores shall be shipped from the manufacturer directly to the Postmaster prior to construction. Customer Lobby-Service Counter As facing the service counter from the Customer's point of view,lower an approximate 32"wide section of the 42-1/2"high service counter in front of the LEFT service window to accommodate a 35-1/2"max high counterline as shown in Sketch 3.Reuse the existing countertop. Modify/lower cabinet below counter by removing lowest drawer and trimming to fit under modified counter.Trim front panel and provide new fixed wood side inserts(finish to match existing wood)above lowered counterline so that exist 20-1/2"wide window and slide down security panel remain in place.
