McGreevy called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Opened Sealed Bids for Veterans Park Bathroom Facility Project and only one bid was received as follows: KJB Industries —total bid price, $115,511 Costs as follows: $9,901 site mobilization, staging, utilities, etc.; $8,000 site preparation, excavation, grading; $6,000 demolition of shed; $22,000 sanitation features, pump, coordination with Suffolk County Health Department; $31,000 pre-cast foundation, footing, milled gravel; $6,000 water service to building; $13,610 electric service to building; $8,000 concrete sidewalk around building, 5 feet in length; and $11,000 site restoration, grass on south side which total $115,511. The Commissioners agreed to reject all bids received and to break up the Project into units. Requests for a cement slab will be sent out to contractors and the Park District will purchase the prefab bathroom unit and have it placed on the slab. After this, the Commissioners agreed to obtain RFQs for electric and plumbing. The Commissioners further agreed that they will handle demolishing the shed in-house. At this time, the Clerk opened the quotes received for LED equipment. The following quotes were received: Wesco Distribution —Vets $4247.50 and Lodge $4,240.00 Schwing Electric Supplies —Vets $4,316.41 and Lodge $4,795.00 Revco Lighting & Electric Supply—Vets $5,355.77 and Lodge $5,495.97 After reviewing these proposals, the Commissioners agreed to purchase this equipment from Wesco, the lowest responsible bidder. The Commissioners directed L. Tortora to ask Wesco to prepare all paperwork regarding the PSEG rebate and to deduct the rebate from the total cost for Veterans Memorial Park. EXECUTIVE SESSION Motion by D. McGreevy, seconded by G. Goehringer, all in favor and motion carried unanimously to go into Executive Session to discuss personnel at 7:31 p.m. Motion by D. McGreevy, seconded by G. Goehringer, all in favor and motion carried unanimously to come out of Executive Session at 8:00 p.m. Resolutions Resolution 2018-96 rejecting all bids received for the Veterans Park Bathroom Facility Project was unanimously approved. Motion by D. McGreevy, seconded by G. Goehringer, all in favor and motion carried unanimously to approve Resolution 2018-96. Resolution 2018-97 awarding the contract to Wesco Distribution for the purchase of LED lighting equipment was unanimously approved. Motion by D. McGreevy, seconded by N. Deegan, all in favor and motion carried unanimously to approve Resolution 2018-97. There being no further business to come before the Board, motion by D. McGreevy, seconded by G. Goehringer, all in favor and motion carried to adjourn the meeting at 8:00 p.m. RESOLUTION 2018-96 RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE VETERANS PARK BATHROOM FACILITY PROJECT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District hereby reject all bids received for the Veterans Park Bathroom Facility Project. RESULT: ADOPTED 8/23/18(Unanimous) RESOLUTION 2018-97 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF WESCO DISTRIBUTION FOR LED LIGHTING EQUIPMENT AT VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK AND BAILIE BEACH LODGE RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District having received three (3) written quotes and reviewing same for the purchase of LED lighting equipment for Veterans Memorial Park and Bailie Beach Lodge hereby accept the written quote of Wesco Distribution as the lowest responsible bidder in the sum of$4,247.50 for Veterans Memorial Park and$4,240.00 for Bailie Beach Lodge,which amount for Veterans Memorial Park shall be reduced dollar for dollar following the rebate from PSEG Long Island. RESULT: ADOPTED 8/23/18(Unanimous)
