Tax Roll: Dorothy M. Schaub Unoccupied Upon request of Gary Olsen, Attorney, Main Road, Mattituck, New York, I made an inspection of this one and one half story framed dwelling. The violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Town of Southold, New York, are contained in this report. I was admitted to the building by Joan Kernahan of the Val Stype Real Estate office in Mattituck and began inspection at approximately 10:50 A.M. Ms. Kernahan left the key with me which I returned to the Val Stype office in Mattituck as per her request. The building's first floor contains a kitchen, full- bathroom, ullbathroom, living room and enclosed front porch. The second floor has three rooms which appear to have been used as sleeping quarters. Heat is ducted to all rooms from a gas fired warm air furnace located in partial full cellar. Violations: Kitchen: Gas cooking range, no shut-off valve at unit, Article V, Section 52-52 B.2. Waste line used fort 1 Try washing machine requires a me seal, and runs from the building through cellar window (pane wood panel to accomodate pipe). Pipe leads into ground, not connected to house sewage line. Article V, Section 52-51 C.1 - 5. Bathroom: Floor tiles at base:of toilet - joints are not tight. Article III, Sec. 52-32 D. Cellar: Stairs open side requires handrail. Art. II, Sec. 52-27 B. Housing Code Inspection Page 2 1050 West Road & 1325 Holden Ave. R-1 Cutchogue, N. Y. Tax Roll: Dorothy M. Schaub Accessory Buildings consist of a small wood structure on slab located close to main building, and a one car garage facing Holden Avenue. A split rail fence has been erected approximately 5'6" past property boundaries on West Road. The fence continues around the corner and on Holden Avenue is approximately 2'6" beyond corner monument. Fence runs northerly and ends within the boundaries of the northwesterly monument. This violates the Zoning Ordinance of Southold Town, Chapter 100, Article III, Section 100-35 (Fences, walls and hedges). Inspection completed at approximately 11:40 A.M. The kitchen door was locked as I found it by means of a safety chain. The latch plate of door lock set is not securely fastened to 4e9 -r and does not hold door shut. d fQ !-" i" submitted, EH:mm -Edward Hinderman Building Inspector 1V?4 Baa_ i
