Committee Minutes and Administration:  Acceptance of LPC meeting minutes from June 26, 2018 MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to adopt the 6/26/2018 Land Preservation Committee meeting minutes. Motion carried: 4/0/1 (LPC members Doris McGreevy abstained as she was not in attendance for the 6/26/2018 LPC meeting, LPC members Lillian Ball and Eric Keil not present at time of vote)  Next Regular LPC Meeting Date: The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, 2018. Land Preservation Applications & Potential Applications MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Will Lee, to enter into Executive Session – Proposed Acquisition, Sale of Real Property Where Publicity Would Substantially Affect the Value Thereof Motion carried: 7/0 The LPC members entered into EXECUTIVE SESSION at 7:29 p.m.  Melissa Spiro, Land Preservation Coordinator \[executive session\] Inquiries, new applications, appraisals and current applications MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to end Executive Session. Motion carried: 7/0 EXECUTIVE SESSION ENDED at 7:59 p.m. Inquiries for Uses or Structures on Preserved Property  JAKUBIUK FARM & NURSERY LLC SCTM #1000-55.-1-8.3 (Town PDR Parker & Betsy Dickerson & Chester Dickerson) Request for Agricultural Barn on land subject to Town Development Rights Easement 7:10 p.m. appointment with landowner Land Preservation Coordinator provided background information on the Town’s 1992 purchase of a farmland development rights easement on the former Dickerson Property, now owned by Jakubiuk Farm & Nursery LLC. Eugeniusz Jakubiuk, landowner, and Victor Prusinowski, project manager for Jakubiuk Farm & Nursery LLC, met with the Land Preservation Committee members to discuss their application and request for the construction of a proposed storage dry barn within the easement area as indicated on sketch plan provided with their 6/26/2018 application request form that will be accessed by an impervious driveway. The barn is to be used strictly for the purpose of agricultural production, for the storage of farm equipment, plants and chemicals, and will not be open to the public. MOTION made by Eric Keil, seconded by Lillian Ball, that the proposed construction of an 80’x150’ storage dry barn to house accessory equipment and materials germane to growing landscaping stock on farm as set forth in an application to the Land Preservation Committee dated June 26, 2018 and its proposed location on the parcel known as the former Dickerson Property in Southold (n/k/a Jakubiuk Farm & Nursery LLC – SCTM #1000-55.-1-8.3) is consistent with the purposes and other terms and conditions of the recorded Easement. Motion carried: 7/0  PECONIC LAND TRUST – WIDOW’S HOLE PRESERVE, GREENPORT VILLAGE SCTM #1001-7.-5-19 (f/k/a ExxonMobil Oil Corp.) Update to proposed uses and activities Land Preservation Coordinator provided background information on the Town’s 2012 acquisition of a development rights easement on the former ExxonMobil Oil Corp. Property now owned by Peconic Land Trust, Inc. and known as Widow’s Hole Preserve. PLT has requested LPC review of an update to proposed uses and activities for the property. MOTION made by Lillian Ball, seconded by Anne Murray, that the proposed updated uses and activities outlined in the July 5, 2018 letter regarding Peconic Land Trust’s Widow’s Hole Preserve (SCTM #1001- 7.-5-19) are consistent with the purposes and other terms and conditions of the recorded Easement. Motion carried: 7/0 Stewardship and Management: None General Land Preservation Items: None Adjournment: MOTION made by Eric Keil, seconded by John Simicich, to adjourn this meeting.
