HOUSING CODE INSPECTION

Upon the request 6f the Southold Building Department I
made inspection of this one and one half story framed dwelling
and found the following violations of Housing Code -Chapter #52
Town of Southold. I admitted myself to building with key left
by Irving Johnson who arrived later and accompanied me on the
balance of inspection which began at approximately 1:30 P.M.
Building is unheated-accupancy between May 1st. and October
onik. Art. III, Section 52-53A.1.
First Floor:
Kitchen: gas range -no shut off valve at unit Article III,
Section 52-52 B.2,
Ceiling Height -61811 -violation of Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 100 -
Article I, Section 100-13. Floor area -livable.
Entrance Hall -no switch to control hall light on entry -
Article V, Section 52-56 B.2.
Stairway to second floor -no light to allow for safe ascent or
descent of stair -Article II, Section 52-26 B.3.
Cellar- Partial -with crawl spaces -three inch flue pipe through
foundation wall not connected to chimney -Article V, Section 52-
53 H. 1. Cellar window -two broken panes of glass. Article VI,
Section 52-63 B.
Exterior- Window trim and sash require painting and glazing of
window panes. Article III, Section 52-31 B.
