Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to

33. Authorize the establishment of the Human Services Van Capital Project in the 2003 Capital
Budget.
34. Approve the application of Greenport Youth Activities to use the Strawberry Fields
Fairgrounds on May 15-18, 2003.
35. Authorize Det./Sgt. Sinning and Det. Grathwohl to attend the Street Crime and
Surveillance Technique Seminar February 10-12, 2003 in Philadelphia, PA.
36. Authorize Public Safety Dispatcher James Kelly to attend a crisis call handling course April
7-8, 2003 in Abington, PA.
37. Authorize Chief Carlisle Cochran to attend the Bureau of Justice Assistance/COPS
Training Session "The Traumas of Law Enforcement" March 24-27, 2003 in Portland, ME.

38. Authorize Town Clerk Neville to advertise for bids for the replacement of the West Road
bulkhead.

Urge the Legislature of the State of New York to pass and the Governor to sign into law
legislation to increase compensation to local governments representing the state with those
citizens purchasing licenses under the DECALS program,
40. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2002 budget to cover costs for
full time personal services at the Recreation Center.
41. Authorize modification to the Whole Town General Fund 2002 budget to cover personnel
changes in the Assessors Office.
42, Reject any and all bids received at the November 21, 2002 bid opening of 2003 Household
Hazardous Waste Removal/Transport and authorize and direct the Town Clerk to rebid.

Authorize Highway Superintendent Peter Harris and Head Mechanic Greg Tyler to travel
by plane to Buffalo for the purpose of inspecting equipment for possible purchase.
Accept the bid of Thomas Shipyard, on behalf of the Fishers Island Ferry District, for the
drydocking of the vessel the Race Point.
Accept the bid of Thomas Shipyard, on behalf of the Fishers Island Ferry District, for the
drydocking of the vessel the Munnatawet.
Authorize Building Inspectors Gary Fish, John Boufis and Bruno Semon to attend the 28th
Annual Continuing Educational Conference March 24-27, 2003 at RIT Inn & Conference
Center in Henrietta, NY.
Accept the bid of C & S Building Service, Inc. for the supply and installation of a new
mechanical system to service the Southold Town Hall.
Set 5:00 p.m., February 4, 2003, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public
hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to Updating the Community Preservation Project
Plan".
Set 5:05 p.m., February 4, 2003, Southold Town Hat~, as the time and place for a public
hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to a One Hundred Eighty Day Extension of the
Temporary Moratorium on the Processing, Review of, and Making Decisions on
Applications for Major Subdivisions, Minor Subdivisions and Special Exception Use
Permits and Site Plans Containing Dwelling Unit(s) in the Town of Southold".
