Sullivan. Location of propertyt south side of Cox N~eck Road, Mattituck, bounded north by Cox Neck Road; east by P. Cerrito; south by Mattituck Creek; west by Cox NeCk Road and Herman. 2. VARIANCE. By resolution of ~he Board it was determined that (a) Strict application of the Ordinance (would) (would not) produce hardship because SEE I~q~RSE practical difficulties or unnecessary (b) The hardship created (is) (is not) unique and (would) (would not) be shared by all properties alike in the immediate vicinity of this property and in the same use district because SEE REVERSE (c) The variance (does) (does not) observe the spirit of the Ordinance and (would) change the character of the district because SEE KEVERSE (would not) and therefore, it was further determined that the requested variance ( ) be granted ( ) be denied and that the previous decisions of the Building Inspector ( ) be confirmed ( ) be reversed. The findings of the Board are that permission has been granted to the Mattituck Inlet Marina Shipyard, Inc. by Mr. Eugene Sullivan to erect an off premises sign on his property. The Board agrees with the reasoning of the applicant. The Board finds that the public convenience and welfare and justice will be served and the legally established or permitted use of neighborhood property and adjoining use districts will not be permanently or substantially injured and the spirit of the Ordinance will be observed. THEREFORE IT WAS RESOLVED Mattituck Inlet Marina & Shipyard, Inc. Mill Road, Mattituck, New York, be GR~NTED permission to erect off premises directional sign on property of Eugene C. Sullivan on the south side of Cox Neck Road, Mattituck, as applied for, subject to the following conditions: 1. That the sign shall be no larger than 3' x 3'. 2. That the sign shall be placed at least 5 feet from any property line. That permission shall not become operative until all debit accounts with the Building Department concerning this sign and other signs are settled. That this special exception shall be subject to all rules and re~Alations governing signs in the Town of Southold. Vote of the Board: Ayes:- Messrs: Gillispie, Bergen, Hulse, Grigonis, Doyen.
