THE SPECIAL EXCEPTION IS REQUESTED 13ECAUSE _ the applicant would like to operate
a used ear business on a portion of the premises owned by Claudio
Giovannelli on the south side of the main Read near Greenport, New 'York,
on which the said Giovannelli presently operates a public garage under
the name G & S auto Service, and a used car business is not permitted in
a B—1, General Business District in which the premises lie, without AL
special exception of the Board of Appeals. The applicant has a valid.
lease (which is conditional upon receiving said special exception) to
use that portion of the premises as shown on the attached sketch, (whieh
is made a part of this application), and in addition, the use of an
office on the northwest corner of the existing building, for the purpose
of operating a used car business.
If this application is granted the applicant intends to erect a
sign. approximately 31 x 41 ., and he will comply with the requirements of
the ordinance with respect to illumination. No more than 25 ears will
be kept on the premises at any one time, and all repairs to used ears
of the applicant will be made by G & S Auto Service, on that portion
of the premises reserved by the landlord and no repairs will be made
on the leased portion of the premises.
