Location of property: St. Agnes Church property- bounded on the north by now or formerly R. Preston & Others; east by now or formerly R. Preston & Others; south by John Carto; west by Manhanset Avenue, Greenport, New York. Fee paid $ 15. 2. VARIANCE. By resolution of the Board it was determined that (a) Strict application of the Ordinance (would) (wou]d not) produce hardship because practical difficulties or unnecessary SEE REVERSE (b) The hardship created (is) (is not) unique and (would) (would not) be shared by all properties alike in the immediate vicinity of this property and in the same use district because SEE REVERSE (c) The variance (does) (does not) observe the spkit of the Ordinance and (would) change the character of the district because (would not) SEE REVERSE and therefore, it was further determined that the requested variance ( ) be granted ( ) be denied and that the previous decisions of the Building Inspector ( ) be confirmed ( ) be reversed. The Board finds that this is a directional sign for the benefit of the public. The Board agrees with the reasoning of the applicant. The Board finds that the public convenience and welfare and justice will be served and the legally established or permitted use of neighborhood property and adjoining use districts will not be permanently or substantially injured and the spirit of the Ordinance will be observed. THEREFORE IT WAS RESOLVED, Leon Schor a/c Boathouse Restaurant, Manhanset Avenue, Greenport, New York, be GRANTED permission to erect an off-premises directional sign to be located on St. Agnes Church property, Greenport, New York, as applied for, subject to the following conditions: 1. That the sign may not be larger than 2' x 4'. 2. That the sign shall be located at least five (5) feet from any property line. 3. This permission is subject to all rules and regulations governing signs in the Town of Southold. 4.
