When I purchased the property I was told that the two story stucco building toward the hack of the property had always been used as a guest cottage or caretaker's cottage in past years. My family owned six waterfront cottages on the end of Horton Lane, next to McCabe's Beach, and I spent most of my summer days in the area between Horton Lane and Lighthouse Road. I distinctly remember the property at 2705 Lighthouse Road, Southold and that the two-story stucco building in the rear of said property was always used as a caretaker's cottage or guesthouse.
