After investigation and inspection the Board finds
that applicant requests permission to construct front
yard fence over four (4) feet in height on property
located on the north side of Soundview Avenue, Southold,
New York. The findings of the Board are that applicant
does not have an unusual situation, this is not a unique
hardship.
The Board finds that strict application of the Ordinance
would not produce practical difficulties or unnecessary hard-
ship; the hardship created is not unique and would be shared
by all properties alike in the immediate vicinity of this
property and in the same use district; and the variance
will change the character of the neighborhood, and will
not observe the spirit of the Ordinance.
THEREFORE IT WAS RESOLVED, Jonathan Visel, 14755 Soundview
Avenue, Southold, New York be DENIED permission to construct
front yard fence over four (4) feet in height on property
located on the north side of Soundview Avenue, Southold, New
York, as applied for.
Applicant shall have thirty (30) days from May 22, 1975
to remedy this violation.

law is no excuse, there are certain extenuating circumstances. The
three sections of six-foot stockade fence is what i ask a..Wai¥-er on.

sections of stockade fence which are already in place and which
blend perfectly not only with the house an6 grounds but also
with all surroua6ing hemes and natural environs and with
ex~stln~ fences erected about 8-10 years ago,

it involves a small fence peculiar only to my house and land,
the removal of which would destroy the privacy o£ my family and
guests afforded by the fence which partially screens off cars

a. This application must be completely fiIled in by typewriter o¢ in ink and submitted in triplicate to the Building
Inspector, with 3 sets of plo,ns, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of Jot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets or
areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this application.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.
