After investigation and inspection the Board finds that
applicant requests permission to maintain existing addition
to garage located on Route 25and Old Main Road, Orient,
New York. The findings of the Board are that applicant is
the owner of a building which pre-existed the Zoning
Ordinance and which is on an irregularly shaped lot. The
Board feels that the addition will not change the character
of the neighborhood, and agrees with the reasoning of the
applicant.
The Board finds that strict application of the Ordinance
would produce practical difficulties or unnecessary hardship;
the hardship created is unique and would not be shared by all
properties alike in the immediate vicinity of this property
and in the same use district; and the variance will not
change the character of the neighborhood; and will observe
the spirit of the Ordinance.
THEREFORE IT WAS RESOLVED, William Heins, Main Road, Orient,
New York be GRANTED permission to maintain existing addition to
garage which is situated on property located at Route 25 and
Old Main Road, Orient, New York, as applied for.
Vote of the Board: Ayes:- Messrs: Gillispie, Bergen, Hulse.

dated Nov. 13, 1969 - A~dition
Dear Sir=
Per our conversation yesterday afternoon with regard
to the improper setback of addition to dwelling under
this permit nun~ber, I checked withMr. Terry and he con-
firmed the fact that you will have to apply for a variance
with the Board of Appeals.
I am enclosing the necessary forms. Under Item No. 2
enter sections of Zoning Ordinance as follows= Article III,
Section 100-31 "Bulk and Parking Requirements" - Section
100-36 "Substandard Lots". A fee of $15.00 is required
with application.
I would suggest that an up to date accurate survey
accompany your application to expedite the Board's decision.
Yours truly,
EH=mm Edward Hinderman
