We ~ish to go on record aa objecting to a v~riance ~ing granted to the
above petitioner whereby he could build a swing pool on his property
for the followirg reasons~
1. The size of the plot is too small to acco~aodate a swimming ppol
wit~o~ overcrowding this narrow piece of land.
The land is p~..t of the wetland area a~ subject to flooding during
a~ormal high ti~es, storm%as well as~he herrioaneseason. A
sw~mi~g pool would displad® natural ground absor~tion and create
a floo~-§ sit~atio~ on the two h~ghways which are con~.iguous with
the $obo~t~ property. It could also affect nearby homes.
The house as it now stands has underground water seepage problems,
so that a s~i~g pool could compound ~t problem.
A sw~g pool would not be in harmony with th~ country-like
quality of the environment sad would adversely affect its character.
The section of Harb~ Road where the petitioner's property is located,
i~ overb~ilt. The homes are on ~,.~,1~ lots and a swimming pool would
add to t~ ove~crowding of the land.
