2. VARIANCE. By resolution of the Board it was determined that

After investigation and inspection the Board finds that
applicant requests permission to erect off-premises sign on
the south side of Main Road opposite Peconic Lane, Peconic,
Town of Southold, New York. The findings of the Board are
that this sign will direct travelers to a place to eat.
The Board agrees with the reasoning of the applicant.
The Board finds that the public conveneince and welfare
and justice will be served and the legally established or
permitted use of neighborhood property and adjoining use
districts will not be permanently or substantially injured
and the spirit of the Ordinance will be observed.
THEREFORE IT WAS RESOLVED, Douglas Case, Case ' s Place,
Peconic , New York, be GRANTED permission to erect off-premises
sign for the benefit of the traveling public on the south side
of Main Road opposite Peconic Lane, as applied for, subject
to the following conditions:
1. That applicant furnish the Board of Appeals with a
letter of permission from the owner of the property.
2. That sign shall be located no closer than 5 feet to
any property line.
3 . This action of the Board is subject to Suffolk County
Planning Commission approval.

c. The work covered by this application may not be cammenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval af this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit ta the applicant. Such permit
shall be kept on the premises available far inspectian throughout the wark.

shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.
