Upon request of the Southold Town Building
Department I made inspection of this two story,
two apartment dwelling and found the following
violations of Local Law #1, Housing Code of the
Town of Southold.
I picked up key as per instructions in appli-
cation from the real estate office of Stanley
Waimey, Main Road, Cutchogue, New York. By letting
myself into the south entrance of the building I
began this inspection at approximately 3:05 P.M.
FIRST FLOOR APARTMENT
Vestibule- No light switch near point of entry
for controlling light in room - Section 529b.
Pantry - Off kitchen - loose plaster on walls -
Section 303c.
Kitchen - No light switch near point of entry
at west entrance for controlling light in room -
Section 529b.
Living Room - No lighting fixture - Section 208b.
Bedroom, northeast - No lighting fixture - Section 208b.
Front Entrance - Hallway, no light switch at point
of entry to control light - Section 529b.
Stairway - to second floor apartment - loose plaster
on wall - Section 303c.
SECOND FLOOR APARTMENT
Bedroom, southwest - Lamp cord for outlet - Section 528a.
Loose paint and plaster on ceiling and walls -
Section 303c.
Living Room, northeast - No light fixture - Section 208b.
Loose plaster board on ceiling - Sectiope303c.

Kitchen - Gas range, no shut off valve � unit -

Hallway, leading to bathroom - Lamp cord from
ceiling fixture to closet - Section 528a.
Cellar - Light fixture at bottom of stairway
(overhead)pull chain, lamp socket wired to
open junction box - Section 528a, b.
House has no central heating and cannot be
occupied from first of November until the first day of
May - Section 513.
Small four room building on southwest corner of
property used as sleeping quarters, does not meet
standards for dwelling. Two rooms are under eighty
square feet - Section 206b. No plumbing facilities,
Section 505a, b. Romf on north end, shingles missing -
Section 302c. Porch floor springy and rotted - Section
301a. No heat Section 513. Interior of building in
need or repair and maintenance - Section 303c, d.
Outside yard kept nicely and is free of obstructions.
I completed inspection at approximately 3:50 P.M.

APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in triplicate to the Building
Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and
unusual natural or topographic features.
2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage dispcsal—(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and
installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for
the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
--i B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non -conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural
or topographic features.
2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings.
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent in-
formation required to prepare a certificate.
C. Fees:
