Subject: Second Pre-Application Site visit
I respectfully request a pre-application site visit at 1250 Salt Marsh Road, Peconic. My client,
Mary Farley, has an existing one story frame house which sits on poplar pilings with a newer
addition landward with a full basement. The house sits about 12 feet+/- from the top of the bluff.
The bluff is very steep and has begun to experience partial erosion toe of the slope as a result of
the recent storm events. It has become essential that the toe be stabilized to prevent further
deterioration, Her concern is that the slope may give way and endanger the house. She is
considering to remove the older piled section of the house and rebuild to the landward side of
the foundation. That would put the house approximately 35 ft. +/- from the bluff. She is aware
that the toe has to be stabilized and I am working on a plan. The property tax map number is
1000-68-3-4. Enclosed find her check in the amount of$50.00, made out to Town of Southold
for the pre application visit. Also enclosed is my client's Affidavit and Authorization forms as
required
