Rni in Tnenortnr Housing Code Inspection August 21, 1978 320 7th Street & 930 Wiggins St. R-1 Greenport, New York Tax Roll: Joseph & Agnes Picard tenant: Mr. & Mrs. Harvey Upon receipt of an application for a Pre -Existing Certificate of Occupancy I made an inspection of the buildings of the above captioned premises. I was admitted to dwelling by Mrs. Harvey and began this inspection at approximately 11:40 A.M. The dwelling is a two story wood frame structure constructed on red brick masonry foundation. The ground floor contains a rear entry vestibule, kitchen, full bathroop. dining room and living room. Living room contains a stairway which provides access to second floor. Second floor has three bedrooms. Heat is furnished to the first floor only from an oil fired warm air furnace located in the cellar. Access to cellar is by means of trap door located in rear entry floor. Hotwater is furnished to all plumbing fixtures within the dwelling from an electric hot- water heater located in the cellar. A roofed over screen enclosed porch protects the front entry to dwelling. A one car garage of wood frame construction is located in side yard area. Picket fence encloses the periphery of the premises. The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Code of the Town of Southold, New York were found: Full bathroom - floor covering at base of toilet is deteriorating exposing the wood floor below. Article II, Section 52-26 A Stairway to the second floor - no means of controlling light or safe ascent. is e II, Section 52-56 B 3. Electrical - ceiling light fixture in cellar light socket with pigtail connection to conductor. No electrical box provided for this connection. Article V, Section 52Im. A 1. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in DUPLICATE to the Building Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use: 1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal—(5-9 form or equal). 3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters. 4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of Completed site plan requirements where applicable. B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non -conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing" land uses: 1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings. 3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent in- formation required to prepare a certificate. C. Fees: 1. Certificate of occupancy $5.00 2.
