Southold, New York ~1971
Dear Board of Trustees:
Our client, Dr. Frank Sciotto of Goose Creek Lane,
Southold, wishes to consnrucn a retaining wall an his
properny for the purpose of leveling an area of ground
for the contruction of a swimmmng pool. Further, an
elevated walkway is to be added on so his existing creek-
front deck in order no provide access from the deck 5o
the pool-area see enclosed plan).
The project is currently being reviewed by the
D.E.C., int¢ whose jurisdiction it falls. The D.E. ~.
has informed us than they intend co connsct the Southold
Town ~Trustees for a determination of lead-agency snanus
on th prooect.
It is our belief thas all ~hases of this project are
in excess of 75 feet from the existing wetlands, and
therefore outside the jurisdictional limit of the Board
of Trustees.
Consequently, we, acting as agents for Dr. Scion5o,
ask than a jurisdictional wamver be granted by the Board
in order to expedite the permit process for the project.

RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
of Wetland Application NO. 681 of Philip Salice to add two 6'

On a motion by Heather Tetrault, seconded by John Tuthitl, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees approval
with a stipulation Wetland Application No. 682 of John Stack
to construct a 20' x 50' in ground swimming pool and 60' x
120' tennis court which will be in e]jxcess of 100' from a
small, man made ppond to west of subject parcel. The CAC

within 75' of the wetlands.

Vote of Council: Ayes: All
Motion carried.
On a motion by Betty Well, seconded by Maragaret Feeney, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees denial
of the waiver and approval with stipulations of Wetland Appli-
cation No. 683 of Dr. Frank Sciotto to construct a pool, decks
and gazebo as shown on submitted plans. (Waiver requested
as all work to be landward of bulkheads.) The CAC recommends
denial of the waiver to allow the public an opportunity to
voice any opposition. The CAC recommends approval of the
application with the stipulation that applicant installs drywells
to contain backwashing and that applicant truck in water to
fill the pool as not to endanger the watertable.

of Wetland Application NO. 684 of J. Trataros to construct

On a motion by Heather Tetrault, seconded by Bruce Loucka, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees disapproval
of Wetland Application No. 685 of Frank and Sandra Curran
to build a pool and d~ck. The CAC reqgmmends disapproval
because the project is too close to t~ wetlands ~nd ground-
water. Backwash would go into the creek and it is located
within the floodplain.
