Construction on above described building and permit meets all applicable codes and regulations. Rev. 10-10-78 AFFIDAVIT I, Janins K. Penny, do declare and attest, in respect to my house st 795 Pike Street, Msttituck, Euffolk County, New York, the foll- owing: (1) The house was built prior to April 23, 1957, having been con- structed in 1907, according to Mrs. Elwood Reeve ( nee Kirkup ) who was e girl of 13 when her family hsd the house built and occupied it in that year. James Gildersleeve, my next-door neighbor, is s member of the builder's family and places the construction in that era. The builder was Wickham Gildersleeve. (2) The house is of wood frame construction on a fou:~d~tion of brick and poured concrete. Exterior wells are asphalt shingled over the original wooden siding; interior wells end ceilings ere plaster. The house is comprised of five rooms on the first floor ( kitchen, back kitchen, dining room, living room end front room or parlor, plus powder room end butler's pantry). There are three sizable and one small bedroom on the second floor, together with e storage room, full bathroom, walk-in closet and e laundry ares st the end of the hallway. There is e full attic, accessible by a fixed staircase. There also is e three-quarters basement in which a modern oil-fired fur- nece end e water pumping system fed by a deep well are situat- ed. The house has front end rear staircases between the first and second floors. The property also includes e detached, one- car garage on concrete slab with en attached implement shed on the rear. The garage was built by William Kreuse in 1952. (2~ AFFIDAVIT (3) The house is structually sound and the few repairs needed are largely cosmetic. I h@ve been informed that the eng- ineer who inspected it for the prospective purchaser found it to be in excellent condition overall. It also was inspected for termites with negative results. (4) The house remains a one-family residence and was similsr- ily occupied by the femily from whom I a~d my first husb- and, the late Edward N. Decker, purchased it in 1951. I have been in continuous residency since March 26, 1951. (Signed) ~..t.~.~ ~c~-/~-~ ~?~-4~' /// Jsnina K.
