Re: Extension of Permit No. 3623 Dear Mrs. Rind: Your recent request to extend the above referenced permit has been reviewed at the Trustees meeting held on August 24, 1989. Your request has been approved by resolution, adopted at this meeting, for a period of one year. Your permit will expire on October 8, 1990. This letter is an amendment to the original permit. Rind Meday Avenue Box 74 Mattituck, New York 11952 Re: Wetland Application No. 558 Dear Mr. & Mrs. Rind: The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees during their regular meeting held on September 24, 1987 regarding the above matter. WHEREAS, Royston P. & Helen T. Rind applied to the Southoid Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated July 9, 1987, and WHEREAS said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, gnd WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on September 24, 1987 at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Royston P. & Helen T. Rind BE AND HEREBY ARE GRANTED PERMISSION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE WETLAND ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD TO: Construct a 4~ x 80' catwalk, a 4~ x 16~ ramp and a 6' x 16' float. Prior to the issuance of said permit by the Clerk, the applicant shall file with the Clerk a certificate that he has public liability insurance policies ~nsuring against any liability which may arise in the performance of the operations pursuant to suc~ permit in such amount as shall be riced by the Trustees, which said policies shall name the Town as a name insured. Please take further notice that this declaration should not be considered a determination made for any other department or agency which may also have an application pending for the same or similar project. Karb - Recommend approval with the stipulation that [he catwalk be elevated the standard 4' above existing marsh. No. 555 -. Peter Steil - Recommend approval. No. 556 - Harvey McMahon - Recommend approval. No. 557 - Rola B. Campbell - Recommend approval. NO. 559 - Inez B. Va il - Recommend disapproval. The CAC is following the policy set by 'the DEC that no permanent structures be, placed on property where there is not a similar structure, on neighboring properties. The Council suggests the-applicant plant natural beach species to help control erosion and undermining. No. 560 - George L. Penny Inc. - Recommend approval with the stipulation that applicant build a small berm on the edge of property and install dry wells in an effort to control any runoff which may occur during heavy rains.
