MARSH ~ HOPE: COUNSELLORS AT LAW 15 WILLIAm1 STREET November 23~ 1951 Alvah B. Goldsmith, Esq. Southold, New York Dear A1: Following our conversations, I have arranged to comp~lete the applications to the Town Trustees For Dr. Bets and me, and am enclosing the same herewith. ~e botk are glad to cooperate with the Trustees in making the applications. I assame that there will be no problem about issuing the permission. At thessme time, however, since a denial of the ~ermission, or the gra~ting oE permission on restrictive terms, might materially affect b~th the enjoyment ~nd value of both properties, I wc~ld appreciate it if, before the applications are formally submitted, you could obtain aninformal expression from your co-Trustees. If there is any doubt about the permis- sion bei~g granted, I wo~ld ask, for the reasons mentidned above, that neither application be submitted but returned to me o Best regards, ~clos~res FPR:AJ P.S. I have =ot enclosed a rough sketch, as you suggested, becamse I have attempted to make the description tie in with the record ownership, which would seem clear enomgh se ~at a sketch would not add anything. However, if you have any suggestions on this point, I should be glad to work them o~t with you, if you will let me know. IN THE NATTEB OF THE APPLICATION G'F FREDERIC P.
