This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in DUPLICATE to the Building Inspector with the following; for new buildings or new use: 1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal--(S-9 form or equal). 3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters. 4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable. B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing" land uses: 1. Accurate survey.of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings. 3. Obre & wf. occupied: owner Upon receipt of an application for a Pre-Existing Certificate of Occupancy I made an inspection of the buildings at the above captioned premises. I admitted myself to the dwelling with a key picked up from the office of First Towne Realty, Main Road, Southold, I began this inspection at approximately 12:15 P.M. The building is a one and one half storE, partial~wood frame structure constructed on a rubble stone,~sonry foundatmon. The first floor contains a living room, dining room, kitchen, toilet room, sitting room and a room with kitchen facilities white,was apparently the original kitchen. There is a side entry and a hallway~ ~ front entry With a hallway. Stairway access to the second floor half story is located in the front entry hallway. Second floor contains two bedrooms, full bathroom and a storage room at the end of second floor hallway. Heat is furnished to all rooms on first and second floor from an oil fired forced warm air furnace located in partial cellar. Hotwater is furnished to all plumbing fixtures within dwelling from a gas fired hotwater heater located in cellar. Accessory structure in rear yard area is a wood frame building that provides^two bay garage and a guest room with sleeping facilities. This building is constructed on a concrete slab. Garage doors were locked~ keys were not available and inspection of interior of this portion of building was not possible. The following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52, Code of the Town of Southold, N.Y. w~re found: Side entry, to dwelling - no means of controlling light at the point of entry. Article V, Section 52-56 B 2. Gas cooking range - no shut off valve provided on the gas cooking range in kitchen and the cooking range located in the old kitchen just off the rear entry hallway. Article V, Section 52-52 B 2. Fire separation - guest room attached to the garage - no fire separation provided on the wall partitioning the room and the garage. Article I, Section 52-15 ( Reference to New York State Building Construction Code -Section A 402-3.6) -2- Inspection was completed at approximately 12:45 P.M. and keys were returned to the First Towne Realty Office.
